If you were invited to an AI interview
You did not sign up for JobsChat. An employer used our platform to invite you to an interview. This page tells you, in full, what happens to your information. It is short on purpose.
Who is responsible for your data
The employer who invited you. They decided to consider your application and they decide what happens next. We run the interview and write the assessment on their instructions.
You can write to us directly at privacy@jobschat.ai about anything on this page. You do not have to go through the employer to reach us.
What we hold about you
From your CV, which the employer uploaded: your name, email, phone number, location and headline; your experience, last role and last employer; your skills, languages, education and links; the full text of your CV; and the original file.
What a model worked out from your CV: a written summary; a seniority level; whether your background reads as management or individual contributor; a fit score from 0 to 100 against the job, with written reasoning.
If you take the interview: the video and audio recording; a transcript of everything said; an AI-written assessment with a score, findings, quotes from your answers, and a recommendation; a record of your consent; and your IP address and browser details when you opened the link.
What we do not do
- We do not analyse your face. Your camera image is recorded in your browser and sent to the employer. It never reaches the system running the interview, and no model looks at it.
- We do not analyse your voice. It is converted to text. There is no voiceprint, and nothing is concluded from your accent, tone or speech rate.
- We do not score your appearance, expression, background or eye contact.
- We do not infer your age, race, sex, religion, disability, health or any other protected characteristic.
The assessment is written from the words you said. Nothing else.
Is a machine deciding whether I get the job?
No, and this is built into the product, not just promised.
The AI conducts the interview and writes an assessment with a score and one of four recommendations. That assessment is a document. Our platform has no mechanism that rejects, advances or filters a candidate. Only a person in the employer's account can move your application. Employers agree in their contract with us that a person will review the assessment and that they will not decide on our output alone.
One thing you should know: the fit score that orders candidates in an employer's list is model-generated, and running it again on the same CV on a different day can give a different number. It is an ordering aid, not a measurement.
Who else sees my information
The interview cannot run on one computer, so it passes through services we use to operate it:
- Anthropic — receives your CV, the job description and the conversation, and generates what the interviewer says. It also receives the full transcript afterwards and produces the assessment.
- Modal — receives your live microphone audio during the interview, on a GPU that converts speech to text and produces the interviewer's voice and image. Your camera video is not sent here.
- Microsoft — receives the text the interviewer is about to speak, to turn into its voice. That text often contains your first name.
- Amazon Web Services — sent your invitation email.
- OpenAI — may receive your CV text where the employer discusses you with the platform assistant.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train AI models, and our language model providers do not train on data sent through their business interfaces.
Processing may take place in any country where these providers operate. The GPU that handles your interview audio is not pinned to a particular region.
How long is it kept

One thing we want you to know rather than discover. The assessment quotes you word for word as its evidence. So when the recording and the transcript are deleted after 30 days, the sentences quoted inside the assessment stay there, for as long as the employer keeps it.
Why it is kept: it is the employer's record of a hiring decision, and you may be considered again for a later role.
What you can ask for
You may be able to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, and to complain to your data protection authority. Which of these you have depends on where you are.
Because the employer is responsible for your application, a request usually has to be answered by them — but write to us at privacy@jobschat.ai and we will either act on it or pass it to them, and tell you which we did and who they are.
Being straight with you about a limitation: you have no account with us, so there is no page you can sign in to and see this for yourself. Writing to us or to the employer is the only route. We would rather tell you that than let you assume otherwise.

Write to the employer, or to us at privacy@jobschat.ai and we will put you in touch.
If you do not want to take the interview
You do not have to. Nothing is recorded and no attempt is used until you say out loud that you are ready. If you close the page before that, nothing about you is recorded from the session. Speak to the employer about another way to be considered.
